I like the last 4 minutes of this track a lot. However, after listening to the first 4 minutes several times, I feel that it's a ripoff of System F - Exhale. But like I said, the last 4 minutes is magnificent!

You guys are either uncultivated either you don't know your classics... :D :D :D

This is a remix of Jean-Michel Jarre's "Souvenir De Chine". Composed specialy for his tour through China. Can be found on his "Les Concerts En Chine Vol 2" album (Dreyfus Label).

If anyone's interested, I'd be more than happy to rip the song to mp3 and upload it somewhere... Just post a reply

(For those who don't know Jean-Michel Jarre: he is considered as one of the founders of electronic music (synthesiser eg) along with Vangelis. Go check his Oxygene, Rendez-Vous and Zoologies series.)

Cheeeeeeeeers! :) :)

Fire & Ice is Laurent Veronnez (currently one of the BIGGEST names in progressive/trance) and Jurgen Leyers (aka DJ Energy which was changed to DJ Fire due to legal matters)

anybody who doesn't like this song, doesn't understand it... that's how i see it...

IMO this song is perfect in all ways... it has power and emotion... the layers are perfectly put together and the beat, melody, and rhythm mix together very well.

the synths used in this song are the same as all the fire & ice songs (excluding Out of Darkness)... so if oyu dont like the synths on this song, then you must not like the synths on all the rest of Fire & Ice's songs...

Fire & Ice did a great job remaking this classic...

all i have to say is, FINALLY a clean full length version of this incredible song

:D Great to see the JM Jarre is still appreciated! One of my all-time heroes, Jarre and Vangelis are the ones that got me into electronic music in the first place (before the name "trance music" was even invented I think...).

And "Souvenir de Chine" is certainly one of his most impressing tracks!

And to be specific, if I remember the last time I saw that commercial correctly, it's Equinoxe part 4.

That's uncanny... A local radio station here in Bournemouth used to be called The NRG (pronounced Energy)... It had to change its name for legal reasons and is now called The Fire!

Great tune as well, BTW!
