Review: Aria Anniversary party w. Laurent Garnier

What a night it was!
Garnier played awesome tracks, including some acid techouse which was exactly what I needed to hear.
I was surprised at how energic he got the crowd going with tracks not that hard. It think it had to do with his very rich sound, the bass lines especially. By the way, the sound is much better again at Aria. It lacked loudness after the curtains setting, but now, it's as good as before.
Some other things made this night a success. For instance, it wasnt jam pack and there was room for eveyone to dance like they wanted. The light show was perfect for the mood too. The stroboscope lighted at the right moments, well placed darkier sequences, and so on....
The crowd was surprisingly diversified. I'd say the friendly vibe came from the fact that there was room for everyone.
Ya, so all in all, what made this night special was the surprises
Fits well for an anniversary party! I hope to celebrate many more in years to come.

How come there's no other reviews for this night, there were quite a few TA's there !:p
As for me, I had a blast, the guy played soo many styles and his mixing was perfect.
The crowd was amazing too, dancing and cheering until the end.
Highlights of the night was when he played his remix of "Out of Space" by good old Prodigy, and "The Sound of The Big Babou" to end the night.
Nice to see everyone, I even got to talk to Laurent himself, he was having fun in the booth.
He should seriously come more often !:)

according to all what everyone told me..... no regrets at all...
for sure hes the kinna dj that brings on some crazy good parties....and he proved it pretty well
like you just said.... hope we'll have him in Montreal more often...

i had an incredible night
Laurent played like i thought he would, DIFFERENT......from any other dj ive seen
he started kinda groovy, then was more on breakbeats (which i LOVE:D )
after he became more loungy....this part wasnt my favorite but i enjoyed myself a lot....he finished in the style i like and ended with my special request THAT U SHOULD ALL GO DOWNLOAD RIGHT NOW:

a bit disappointed that he didnt finished but i was in tha mood for some techno and Yaz ended beautifully with an other special request
