I've used Traktor and PCDJ Red before.... Both were fun to play around with, but Traktor definitely has the upperhand on options. PCDJ is a very straightforward program though that requires very little practice before becoming quite efficient with its setup.

ud be better off though with an ext. mixer if u plan to utilize options like that, i would never actually use those options on traktor like that, it just wont feel right, i mean theres no way i could mix with e.q. knobs "drawn" on the interface of a software program, it just dont work right, i mean if im gonna turn an eq knob on one channel, im gonna do the same thing at the same time with an eq knob on the other channel... unless u have short cut keys instead of havin to use the mouse, i dont see how thats possible, unless u got 2 mouses (or mice, dunno how the hell u say that haha) u spoke about usin pcdj red... try pcdj fx? id personally take it over traktor, although i know dissin traktor is unheard of in these forums

i dunno man i just dled it, and the interface for one seems abstract and dull at the same time, plus the bpms came right next to the tracks as they loaded which i found to be kinda offensive :D im deffinitely not feelin mixmeister *delete*

how do the eq's work on mixmeister then. You can have keyboard shortcuts on traktor, but they are e IMO, decrease/increase too fast:) |

i dont have a clue as to how they work on mixmeister, i jst tried the program for 2 seconds yesterday and i couldnt take it, my whole point was that the eq on a software dj program isnt gonna be able to quite emulate an eq on a mixer, with the proper program u can learn to beatmatch and use a crossfader (i believe pcdj fx has an adjustable crossfader curve) in the proper way, but when u get more advanced and decide to use V.C.A. sliders and put the crossfader down, u aint gonna be able to do that on a software program, if ne thing, if u dont wanna blow the money yet on a set of decks and vinyl, then at least grab urself an ext. mixer, which can be used with these dj software progs.
