Woot! Nice remix! I love it and I'm sure it gonna be a killer on the club! But I do heard the side chain effect on the Kick and bassline together?

Great work mate!
Mike_Foyle
hehe, nah every thing is side chained around the kick, includin the bass :) glad u like ;)
josh
good work mate! but how to do a side chain on ur kick and bassline? using reason?:)
Mike_Foyle
i dont think u can do it in reason no. sidechain compressers use one signal input as a trigger and the other input is affected by the trigger. so in this case, the kick triggers the rest of the track, which makes it bounce with the kick.

Hey mate, nice one you got here, very cool and unusual (=original).

Three things.
* could use more mid
* don't like the ploppy kick
* sidechaining effect is a little exaggerated. tho i like the idea.

Original synths, nice pads, cool fx.

cheers dude, like i said, not changing it now. :)

Sweet stuff dude, I'm checking this from the library at college lol. I couldn't resist but click this one :) Really cool, I like it. Don't change anything !

I honestly think with some work on this track (e.g. all of the comments above), this could turn out to be a really damn popular mix!!

I think it would be unreal if you used that main sidechaining theme as the main chorus/climax, mixed the volumes of the layers a little better so you could get the melodies more pronounced so that they're not just a big pulsing screech at times.

I think you're onto something here, I would get back to the drawing board and make something of it!!!
Mike_Foyle
cheers dude, i would but theres no point coz itll never go anywhere, i cantrelease it coz its a remix, and that would be wrong. its not like guna be played anywhere but home :)

Is the sidechaining everybody keeps referring too that wah-wah effect he does on the entire melody except for the kick ? If so, I've been trying like mad to do it with ©Waves compressor with sidechaining on it, but I can't get it to interact with the kick. Is it something that you can only do with fruity or something ?

Cheers

Mike_Foyle
you can use the c1 side chain compressor to sidechain if u use logic I THINK, i dont know how else to do it with software. the other way of doing it is drawing a volume envelope to similutate it, then copying it everytime there is a beat. prolly be better quality that way
BelgianGuru
Ok, thanks man
