Thanx for those that provided me with good info in the last thread. I had done a lot of searching for used and new stuff online as well as around my area. It looks like my best bet is new stuff online. I have picked out this combo:
Gemini CDJ-20 $179 x 2 = $358

Behringer DX-052 Mixer = $119

GRAND TOTAL = $477
Of course I need to get cables and speakers, but like I said in my previous thread, money is tight for me and I just need some equipment that will do the job just fine and last me for a while, while only being used little to moderately...Is this combo that I picked out going to suite my needs?
Of course the more expensive option would be:
2 Pioneer CDJ-100's
Behringer DX626 3-Channel Mixer
Cables

BUT if my first choice will do me good then just let me know, please. |

| Most people will tell you to stay away from Gemini and Behringer...Behringer seems all right but you should definetly stay away from Gemini (they're very cheap). I think you'll find it hard to DJ with those cd decks. My advice would be to save up a little more money and get some CDJ-100s off of EBay. They usually go for around $250. So 250x2=500 and the mixer ($119) would come to $619...not a whole lot more expensive but I think you'll benefit in the end. |

dude. it sounds like a good option now to just get it. but think, and trust me, when you use them, you'll love them, eventually get better, then start to despise them. it's that simple. you will outgrow it. even if you don't wanna be a pro dj, you'll want to be the best dj you can be, and you'll want better gear.
i'd save up, it's good both ways. if you don't like it, you can sell your gear at good value, whereas, if you buy cheap stuff, no one will want it. it's generally known, people don't want cheap gear (they want to GET IT cheap, thats different) but second hand cheap gear is definitely a no-no.
if you do like it, you have good gear. as simple as that.
a friend of mine bought his cd setup (2x American Audio CDS-1, American Audio QD-1 Mixer) in December last year, it cost him 300 i think. he's already grown out of them, and looking to sucker someone into buying it from him. not to mention, it's developed a few inconsistencies by now. |

| i think you should just get 2 cdj100s and a behringer vmx 300. just a little more expensive but alot better(but i think this is really a budget setup, anything cheaper than these would be useless). but if you really cant afford it, just get the $600 package atleast you get the cdj100s. hth:) |

Why don't you try a dual cd player. Something like Numark CDN series.
A CDN 25/30 is a bout 200/300 USD.
That way u could spend more on a mixer.(Stanton, Numark, Vestax) |

I just took a look at this site. It has some good prices.
Is it trustable for international sipping?
Is an authorized dealer? |
