Not sure if this was brought up in a previous post...just curious about the different styles of dance to trance/techno music. Im still a newbie to the scene, and i do see a lot when i go clubbing -- i see ppl liquiding etc. but im just don't know the specific names of other styles.
i don't really have a style i just bug out LOL...have fun :D But either way i would love to learn the names/how to do them. KEKEKEK :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
anyway thanks for humoring me. Peace! |

I always wondered what it is called the way I dance, its a mix of breakdancing uprock, mixed with a leg gliding and feet sliding, but in the end, I have no clue what my type of dancing is called. It so random and mixed between many styles, its just a hybrid to how I like to dance to house and trance, Vivid has seen me dance, and even he cant figure out what to call it. I always called it house dancing, for lack of a better name. :tongue2 :tongue2
Scary part is, I like Rock music, and I like it so much, I actually made a rocker style of dancing for house and trance, its called the air guitar headbanger...too bad if I ever pulled that at a rock club, i would get the biggest beating of my life. |

By the way, which part is the 'popping', and which is the 'locking'? |

ahhaha omg this is madd funnieee -- that FRO!!!!
yea i def think that liquiding wid photons looks hot but its hard to do...other ppl do the old skoo "nordictrack" and other styles...are there any sites that actually show these and how they are done, tho? and btw what IS the melbourne shuffle?
yea right now i just use the general term "freestyle" which is pretty much just bouncin' any old way but changing it up a LOT i seem to get bored/forgetful of doing the same step more than 10 minz at a time...but i am strangely consistent at it, doing spins here and there LOL
btw neone heard of the "mass dance" -- some ppl actually tried to teach me and its hard...just wondering...is this an official dance? all i know is that it looks deceptively simple but its not -- tho it does look like u shuffle u feet side to side, combined wid hops/jumps or summdin like that |

Ditto.
I wonder whether I can do it though, as I got used to dance similarly to what you see in the vids, but since I've never been to Melbourne (nor met a Melbournite), I might be creating a new style :D |

Well, breakdancing (which is now related to EDM genres) actually came from James Brown's tunes, so I don't think that's weird at all :)
You should try it in a club ;) |
