rackmount cd players

space is a very limited commodity for me, so i'm having to settle for a rackmount cd player. i've been looking at denon in particular and some stantons, even though stanton decks are garbage... but i figured that's like comparing apples and oranges... what's really good for about 500 bucks?

After owning a Denon 2000, then a 200 MK2...I went to American DJ DCD PRO-400.
It has more features than the previous 2, cost way less, and has lasted longer than the other 2. My Denon's always had laser issues.
You might want to check out American Audio CD players.

You also might take a look at the Numark CDN-88. Etronics.com sells it brand new for $539. I have the CDN-90 and I think the only difference between the two, aside from styling, is how the effects are enabled. Either way, both are loaded with features. I've been extremely happy with mine so far: very easy to use, nice layout, and as long as it remains reliable i'll have no complaints.

The most important thing to consider is the pitch increments. I have CDN-88s and they work pretty well but only do .1 incremements, I think the Pioneer CMX-3000s do .05
