hey guys, i have a bit of a problem with my mixer...
ok so im mixing, now one track is fully on... and now i bring in the upcoming tune, its like on 7 now..... i slowly fade it up and up and up, untill i get to 8.5 - 9, then when i increase it to 10, theres like this huge volume change and the tune gets really loud, even a bit louder then the other chan but they're both on 0dB as i always keep them there, anyone else experience that problem on the djx-700?!?
regards,

u cant set the faders on a certian curve
only the crossfader.... |

| yea... could be that there is a steep curve for the fader, or perhaps its the vinyl. sometimes they are pressed at different volumes... so you always have to check the volume levels on the meter. |

well, there is a curve for the crossfader, one looks like a X, and one looks like a picnic table.....
but im not sure that effects the volume faders |

my freind had a behringer VMX200 i think and it have a soft med and hard curve for the volume faders, being that its the same make i assumed that the DJX would be the same... |

| Yep i have this mixer. behringer made the curve for the faders pretty crappy. Its almost an exponential volume increase. You can't hear antything till around 7 or 8. Once you hit 9 you have to slowly increase the volume. THis just takes time to get used to |

| Be sure to use the gains to decrease the volume also |

| Sounds as if it'd be a good techno mixer, as it would be easier to make quick cuts. |

| Formula sound mixers have the same problem. Big jump at the top in level |
