Somethings picking up the radio station obviously although I've never heard of a mixer or headphones do that before. I don't have a clue how to fix it though.

not sure but my sl1200s have long wires running out of the back of them (i think they are the oldschool way to hook it up to a speaker source) but those may be the culprits that are acting as antennae. not sure what you should do though :wtf:

maybe you should drop some foreign radio into a mix

I have the exact same problem. The problem at my place is that there's a huge radio tower near our house, so I didnt have to look far.

Is it by any chance a Gemini UMX-7 ? :)

hehe that reminds me of a story my uncle once told me:

Back in the days, when radiostation were broadcasting in AM frequencies they were chatting in a little house under a huge russian radiotower. Suddenly they heard a quiet music playing. They couldnt figure out where it was coming from. Finally they found out that a little pile of coins that were on the table were causing the music. When they disassembled the pile the music stopped.. when assembled again they had music..

anyway I wonder doesant that affect the human body somehow? I mean a strong constant vibration in the air can't be good right?

Now this was with AM radiostation.. I cant really understand how this could happen with FM station's since frequencies are so much higher.

I also have this... my guess it that the radio waves are being picked up by the needles. If i turn up the gain to the max, i can even figure out some words (although in spanish and french?!).

Make sure your leads have no loops in them

Happens in studios all the time- the loops act like an ariel.

I just get a loud annoying buzz if I do that with my RCA's...

This reminds me of a news story I heard on TV a while back, except the radio was being picked up by a woman with a metal plate in her head, lol...I kid you not !!

Can you imagine how f**king annoying that would be ?!
