props = properties. equivalent to skillz. this is how it all started anyways. so if paul van dyk was spinning you would say that he has mad props. mad being slang for much and properties being slang for skill. translated you're saying he has a lot of skills. but props evolved to a sort of respect thing. my friend said it evolved from properties to proper respect. so now it's much props to suzaku for telling me juno had skydive. so it's translated proper respects to suzaku for telling me blah, blah, blah. you get my point. so it can mean thanks or skills depending on the context of the sentence. this is the history of the slang word props. this ends ebonics 101 for the day. thank you for attending.
