One word: WOW!!! Never seen Family like this before. What a en amazing night! Even better being the vip, being at the private party upstairs and having free drinks all night. :D

As good as all that sounds, I knew my place was on the dancefloor. Pete Tong was awesome... I got to hear Nicola Gala - Swing To Harmony and then he finished it off with old skool Rui Da Silva - Touch Me! That was magik moment as Tiesto came into the booth.

Tiesto was meant to start at 2:30-5:00 but he did 3:00-5:30. So when he came out everyone screamed like nuts! I'll get the tracklist out of the way. I pretty much knew all the songs but I cbf writting it down or anything. Its very similar to Sydney anyways. I was on dancefloor/vip room loving the whole thing! They are in some sort of order :D

Opening:
Tiesto - Tear in the Open
Afterburn - North Pole
Tiesto - Love Comes Again (Mark Norman Remix)
Rah - Pole Position (Airbase Mix)
Tiesto - Traffic (Montana's Edit)
Evanescence - Hello (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
Tiesto - Just Be
Tiesto - Dallas 4pm vs. Obsession
Tiesto - Lethal Industry (Unknown Remix)
Marco V - Loops & Tinges Relooped
Mike Robbins - Are You A Freak
Armani & Ghost - Airport

Encore:
Radiohead - Street Spirit (Tiesto Remix)
Tiesto - Adagio for Strings

Every song there was awesome. Tear in the Open was awesome starting track, North Pole gave me Magik 6 flashbacks as I got goosebumps, Love Comes Again completely destroyed the club so whoever said tis a track should be shot. :D I never danced so much in my life as I did for Traffic and Airport. And then the finishing was en awesome... Adiago just topped it off with the second breakdown! Even the bar tenders were jumping like crazy haha :D

Amazing setup of the club with the movie screens, lights, lazers, smoke and use of MC (which sometimes can get very anjoying, but not when Pete Tong uses it). I took some pics but they are mainly of my mates, dancefloor and some other , and non of them are TAs. I might upload it if I find some web space somewhere! :)

Best night in a long time for me, if not ever! Back to sleep now ;)

can we clear up whether it was

Afterburn - Frattboy
or
Afterburn - North Pole

played.

because if it was the one from Magik 6
then it was

Afterburn - Frattboy
MichaelBoogerd!
dont believe the CD sleeve... its definately Afterburn - North Pole that he played at both events...

if u got the vinyl just check - not the label sides... but the actual tunes themselves... and then u'll see the light.

nice work on the Tracklist for Brisbane as well :)

Very good. My only gripe were how crowded it was! Undancable. Oh well.

Also I tried to get him to sign one of those vinyl sleeves they were giving out but to no avail... I guess he only signs stuff for girls... nevermind.

When I was watching him in the booth towards the end I noticed he spun a new record on his finger like a basketball then tried to flick it to land onto the platter... he almost got it on there too

Oh, and just watching him work his magic to the mixer, fantastic! I get home and have an all new inspiration to practice and work on my not-so-hot skills :p

Pete Tong? Good. Touch Me was a great closer, but came half an hour too late.. sorry, I was really only sweating it out on the floor to see Tiesto :)

nope. in syd he was randomly signing those things and throwing them into the audience. didn't get very far though, so whoever was in the front 2 rows would normally grab them.

He is like the MJ of DJs. He did a 180 while spinning the record on his finger and almost landed it onto the platter like you said! ;)

I forgot to say he also played Saltwalter - The Legacy (Alphazone Remix)... TiC flashbacks. :D

As for North Pole vs Frattboy/Fratty Boy. Dunno really know and I don't care what its called. I own the vinyl called North Pole and its the opening track from Magik 6... same one he played last night and it was amazing! :D

Good stuff, sounds like a top night :D

Would've lost it if he'd dropped Airport or Saltwater - Legacy in Sydney :o

That reminds me, at the end of his set he grabbed a slipmat off one of the decks and chucked it into the crowd only to be politely reminded that there was another DJ on after him! Good thing they had plenty of Thirst slipmats to replace it. He signed a few and threw them into the crowd also.

Yeah I dunno, all the signed sleeves and records he seemed to hand back to girls... I slipped my sleeve into the booth just a little (without being rude), and went unnoticed. Oh well.

Also, did anyone else see his Traffic picture disc? Nice. Must replace my regular copy now :p
