Hello!
My rave partner and I are going to England for 5 weeks. We are going hiking, biking, etc.
But most importantly were going RAVING.
I want to go to THE coolest rave (not a club. A warehouse or festival or something -trance-) and then also go th THE coolest CLUB.
I am afraid to get swindled by some tourist loving tablet seller. What do you suggest for this.
Thanks |

raving is pretty much illegal now for less than something like 10 people, the laws are much stricter than they used to be but there are a still a few in and around major cities, i know we have a few here in sheffield. but to get there you need to be in the know and be able to up sticks and go at any time, which will be a bit hard to plan when u gotta fly over from america.
your best bet is to go to an underground club night, they usually capture the feel of a rave especially in london. |

global gathering is your best bet, it is the ultimate festival.
if you don't want to get swindled by some tourist loving pill seller, then i reccommend trying to buy them before going in. in a venue you are looking at paying at least £5 for the glory of not having to smuggle them in. outside, you shouldn't pay much over £3 depending on who you know and when/where you know them :) |

i think you will find they do if you know where to look...
for example, last summer james holden played a 'rave in a cave' in the lake district. it was a free party held in a cave, and no-one knew where it was until a few hours before it was on.. there are many of these free parties operating around the UK, again its a matter of who you know and where :) |

A mate of mine said he went to that, I thought he was taking the piss. He was obviously telling the truth. I was under the impression free-partys these days were all but a myth, thats the second time in the last 5 minutes I have been very much mistaken :clown: |
