Finally got roudn to buying a midi keyboard of e-bay, however I did not check to see if my sound card had a midi port.

I've got a Sound Blaster Audigy 2, and it hasnt got a midi port.

The only outputs on the keyboard is midi.

Does any1 have any ideas to how I can establish a connection between my PC and my keyboard?

Special Lead, extra piece of kit etc.

Cheers.

there is an adapter you can buy that will convert the controller out on your sound card to a midi in/out..

here is the cheapest one I could find on the net (through froogle)

Yeah you can either buy the adapter or buy a USB to Midi interface. The USB version is kinda laggy at times but it works.

Cheers Alanzo, but unfortunately my sound card doesn't have a game port either.

Atreyu - I like the sound of the usb to midi interface cable.Doing some research now.

Cheers

damn.. what a crappy sound card :p

before you invest in a MIDI keyboard, I would say you should get a new sound card since I doubt that audigy has ASIO support.
