Hey penguin so whats your question? you want to put the mp3's on a cd to listen to or put them as data to put on another comp? well eather way i have adaptec easy cd creator. it works pretty good for me it has the options of puting the mp3's as musik or as data so yeah my advice is get a copy of that.:p

it depends on weather you burn the mp3s to a cd as an mp3 or a wav file. some burning programs will give you the option of burning your mp3s to a cd as an "audio cd" or a "data cd." if you choose "audio," the program will usually convert the mp3 files to wav files so that they can be played on a regular cd player. if you only want to transfer the mp3s to another hard drive you should opt to burn the mp3s to a "data cd." this will burn the mp3s to the cd as mp3 files. from there you can take the cd to the other computer and go into windows explorer and access your cd rom drive and simply copy the mp3 files to the other hard drive.

if you choose to burn the files onto a "audio cd," you will not be able to put as many files on the cd since wav files are much larger than mp3s...but if you do this, you will need a ripping program to extract the wav files and convert them to mp3...

...or something like that.

USE NERO!!! its way better than adaptec, way more options for audio cds like equalizers, cd text, fade in/out, editing spaces between tracks and so many more, you can also make data cds and other. if you want it send me a pm.

to get songs back onto your hd, from a data cd just copy the mp3's from the cd in explorer. like rockster said, you need a ripper to get songs off an audio cd.

I use Adaptec Easy cd creator 4
It has Drag and drop capabilities and you can copy cd's or put them right on your hard drive.

you need to have a burning program that allows you edit the spaces in between tracks, its got nothing to do with the cue. you can eliminate the 2 second gap in nero as well as some other progs.

Is it possible that if I have an old writer it will not burn.. or can i always leave out those 2 secs?...

I use a program called "NTI CD-Maker 2000 Professional", I think it sells for $80 but u can find it on warez sites ;) Very nice program though, I really like it.

Timeport: which prog do you use to burn your cds? the only ones i'm familiar with is Nero Burn and easy cd creator. I use nero now cos it has more options. you can take a live set, cut it up into however many tracks you like, then burn it without spaces between the tracks. or you could have a 1 second gap or a 7 second gap, whatever you want. Nero should work with any burner, new or old (i think). i dont relly get your last question, but hopefully that helped.
