Is there any problem of using a dual cd player with a battle style mixer?:conf:
djxtension
Why would there be?

Depends on what you want to do with it, but it shouldn't be problem at all.

Scratching & making backspins are not the things you want to do with a double cd-player (although some can do it, like Numark CDN-90, Denon D9000, etc...), but for mixing it should be just fine.

But why are you asking this? Tell us what you think could be the problem, you might get a better response...

And also posting which models of equipment will get you better responses as well.

ive used a battle mixer with 2 TTs for mixing trance (i am assuming thats what you'll be doing with your dual cdj). no problems with mixing, but it may be limiting to your future djing endeavors
Inertia
depends on the mixer. but generally it will be OK. you might get a case like with the stanton sk6, where the volume faders are VERY abrupt (as in levels 1-7 are very quiet, then 8+ is loud) but you can generally work around it.

I was thinking Vestax PCV 175 and Numark CDN 33, for trance mixing.
I need good faders, eq with kills and decent sound quality on the mixer. The CD player should have a decent jog wheel and pitch control for proper beatmatching.
No FX or scratching.

I asked ths question cuz' I haven't seen many DJ's using this combination.

ive seen alot of starter djs work with a battle mixer. they are generally cheaper, and can provide decent features for mixing trance. also some have an effects loop (eg. stanton sk6).. i started with the stanton sk6, it did the job (faders were annoying at first, but i adjusted them and theyre fine now)

i have a pcv-275, fantastic mixers, the faders are invincible, kill switches etc very good too.

i would reccommend any PCV mixer to anyone :)
