"pathetic" yep fine. what the point of having thread full of no related replies from you whining on about hybrid etc etc. email the bbc if it bother you that much and/or make your own thread (surely youve figured how to do that?) and start a seperate topic. Take this to PM if you have a problem anyway, your clogging up the whole forum with your negative crap.
On Topic:
expect the new tranquility base single to appear in the EM, apaprently it's near completion, along with new smith & pledger remix of no-one on earth, plus a few other exlusives. |

| I still think they aren't nearly as talented as some other DJs out there who have yet to get an EM. |

damn wtf, the Essential Mix has sunk pretty low this year. but it will be hard for A & B to do something worse than Armin's EM from last week.
best EM this year for me has been DJ Marky's from last March. |

indeed, i do agree.
However, they have done alot in there time in the EDM scene. They have set up a massiv Uk label, they DJ, they have produced and remixed some of the biggest tracks around, they are one of the pioneers of the digitial downloads for EDM, they have a weekly radio show for MOS, sign new unheard talent rather than just big guns, have remix competitions, do live performances (paavo in aalto), etc etc.
they deserve an essential mix. If 'fluffy' trance as alot of you call it, isnt to your tasting, im sure there will be something for you in the future. But you have to give credit where it's due, and these guys deserve every succes in the world! |

that was my point....lol
great they get the world to showcase their talent to but I feel the EM should hit others as well. This is not hijacking a thread btw...this is adding to the discussion. I mean Above and Beyond are new people to the scene if you think about it in terms of deejays and labels. Maybe Tongy is just pushing the newer acts to push British talent. If it makes some people happy on the EM then great, I do concede that anything is better than hearing the same old like Tongy EM from some dodgy club in the UK for 2 hrs. |

yes but the year is not even half over yet...it's only may so far. I would like to know how the EM chooses the acts tho, is it just tongy saying this guy would be great this week or is the higher ups in the BBC saying what about this or that? Cuz you notice the old faces like rampling and seb mundane and others then the new acts like above and beyond and others. |

| yes, can't wait for the Sasha & Diggers and the Howells/Plump DJs EMs later this month. I bet those will be amazing. |

| I may listen to the above and beyond for a while...I'm not sure if I intend to catch the whole thing but most times when I'm not out Saturday, I try to listen into a bit of the EM anyway to see what the deejay that week is up to. I will agree that it gives Above and Beyond an excellent chance to push their label and their names worldwide because the EM is global. |
