Sasser is the main virus right now. Have told about 50 folks how to rid themselves of it thus far. Not that hard to get rid of. Was hard to figure out before Antivirus software gurus and Microsoft posted fixes though late Saturday night/Sunday morning. But, my buds on the Geek nets figured it out before they did!

I also have the "ha ha i found your picture virus". I have tried all the suggested remedies and none of them work. It appears to have disabled the task manager and the registry editor also, because when I do ctrl-alt-del I get a quick message saying "task manager disabled". I cannot invoke regedit for the same reason. The words above keep appearing in word documents, in search bars on the internet etc etc and are making the computer unusable.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
chillsonic
uninstall aim completely; then re-install it into a a new directory. that should do the trick.

I STILL can't get rid of the "ha ha i found your picture" virus. I have tried everything suggested, including the suggestion from Chillsonic that I uninstall AIM (I don't actually have AIM installed, so I uninstalled MSN Messenger 6.2, which I presume is much the same thing), all to no avail!
:conf:  :(

Any more suggestions? The devil of this thing is that is has disabled ctrl-alt-del and the registry editor, so I can't find out the name of the rogue program which is running.
