How bad is it to leave your records on your turntables when you arent playing them?
You see, I was playing around on the turntables and I went to take a shower but I left the last two records I was mixing on the decks with the covers on while I took a shower. My boyfriend came home and told me that this is extremely harmful for the record and can warp them and whatnot...I have never heard that before, I mean I can understand they would get dusty if you left them there for a while, but I DID have the turntable covers on, and it was only for a short period of time (maybe an hour)...anyways, can someone tell me exactly what harm this can do?

Dust collection.
If it was humid then the vinyls could have the slightest bit of distortion... but I mean slight very, VERY minimally. |

Pure BS. Records don't warp that quickly unless exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions, like 100 degree heat or subzero temps. Take your showers and don't worry about it, and tell your boyfried to quit being such a nerd.
