Definitely keep in touch. I live in Tampa which is about an hour and a half from Orlando. We could all do a road trip! :D Anything for a reason to travel! haha! I know it's one thing to say it now when it's a year down the road, but I don't see why it can't happen. Maybe we will get lucky and some big name DJ will be at Space when you are visiting and everyone can meet up together.
I can understand you being anxious about leaving home for that long...I would be too. Regarding your trip to the US...traveling alone is always hard, but I think it would also be exciting. I have a ton of respect for you for doing something like that alone. Not too many people could. You are going to meet a lot of people and everything that you do (at least while you are here in the states) will be because you want to do it...not because you are going along with the flow.
Space is a must so I'm happy to hear that you are making that a priority! ;)
Take care and keep in touch!
Amber

Orlando is fun for the theme parks, but if it were up to me, I'd fly into miami, rent a car, and drive to key west.
A few warnings though.
In the US, you have to be 25 years old to rent a car, and there is no way you will get a direct plane from florida to Cuba. Most people fly to mexico or Canada, then to Cuba. Ironic, considering that Cuba is less than 100 miles from Key West |

skip orlando, unless you want to do the disney thing. disney is kinda cheezy and really nothing to get too excited about unless you are under the age of 10. Miami is the place to be. Orlando has no scene whatsoever in comparison to miami.
And dont even try to apologize for posting in here. we FLTAs love all TAs. |

Awww, thanx guys...all the advice and nice sentiments are very much appreciated :)
Roquer - I'm 26, so car is no problemo.......and I know there ain't direct flights from US to Cuba....but, Cayman Airways flys to Cuba via Grand Cayman Island....so, that's what I'll probably end up doing....and means I can spend a few days in the Bahamas en route (wanna join me ex-dj? hehehe) :) The other alternative is to fly to Cuba from Cancun, with MexicanAir - but that doesn't really suit me cos I wanna do Mexico after Cuba....so, my route will be Miami - Grand Cayman - Havana - Cancun, then off to explore the REAL Mexico (more interested in the Yukatan and the Aztec ruins than the resorts) :)
Added u to msn trancebrat....roadtrip in 2005 would be FUN :) |

Hey Phil, don't diss Orlando. They have someone occasionally come to the O-town. Like PvD, Tiesto, Oakey, Ferry, etc.
Although Orlando scene is nowhere near as good as Miami scene, I gotta give ya that.
And Beemer, welcome to our little place. :) |

forget about orlando. its a very dry place, and disney world isnt what its all cracked up to be. its huge yes, the rides, some are good, the lines, HUGE. the walking, exhausting, the heat, horribly hot.
just go straight to miami. and cuba, u sure u want to go there. its a very poor country and its run by a communist government.
visit club space, and ocean drive while your there. ill tell, ocean drive is the best place to go in all of miami. do not miss it, or you will have missed out on the best part of florida:D |
