The Conference Finals are set.
Flyers vs. Lightning
Flames vs. Sharks
Only picking Calgary.

Eastern Conference Final
Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Philadelphia Flyers
-Tampa Bay in 7
Well, like I said, Flyers own Leafs, much to my dismay.
Flyers played a gritty game, but they had their share of flaws and at times were just driven against the wall. Also, they don't seem to play well away from home.
Lightning on the other hand, are on a roll eliminating the Canadiens rather easily and have plenty of rest. They should be good go and beat Flyers with their speed and skill.
Khabibulin vs Esche... well, I think it's time Esche breaks against more talented Lightning.
Western Conference Final
Calgary Flames vs San Jose Sharks
-Flames in seven
I dunno, but I just think Flames got more heart than the Sharks. After all, Sharks did have a 3-0 lead and let Avalanche back in, going to game 6.
The Flames took down the Red Wings, which is a feat itself considering the difference in line up. Kipper is the man of the playoffs right now and has my vote for Conn Smythe if the Flams do make it to the finals.
The Sharks have their share of guts and heart, but it's youth versus youth, heart versus heart and I just think the Flames have just a little more drive than the Sharks. |

its funny how those of you who are sports minded call Tampa, Tampa bay... I guess its true b/c the name of the team has the word "bay" in it, but the lightning play in the city of Tampa and are only referred to as Tampa Bay b/c the whole area wants to be included in the ownership of the team,... anyway back to the series
Tampa in 5 - the Flyers have no chance
Calgary in 7- i dont know of either of these teams but i like Calgary better b/c Terry Crisp used to coach them |

uggh,.. that was ugly tonight,.. but b/c it was so bad they probably will hardly review game tape and it will probably really rejuvinate the Lightning and they will come out swinging vs Philly...
watch out Philly,.... Tampa is pissed!!!,.. er I'm pissed :D |
