DJ Equipment - Where to buy?

Ciao fellow NY TAs... Question, where can I find a good place to buy DJ equipment from here in NYC? Is someplace better online? Maybe there is at least a store I could go see the merchandise at, even if I do buy it somewhere online after? I am looking for everything... turntables, cartridges, tables, etc.
Also, where is a good place to buy trance vinyls in NYC? Virgin Mega Store sucks! :D

i dont really know anywhere in NYC to buy equiipment but if you know what you want already just get it online...its cheaper. |

ok, the only stuff your gonna have to actually test are mixers, speakers and headphones... Im pretty sure Sam Ash can take care of those needs. I know I went to the one on 49th and 6th, or something like that, and they have a special room with all their monitors and they have a rack of headphones to test. But I didnt see if they had mixers, but I do know that that Sam Ash in Brooklyn on Flatbush Ave, accross the street from Kings Plaza has mixers to check out.

Vinyls are hard to find in general... I can't find some oldies that I want and anything that I do find online is usually UK so I get screwed with conversion rate and then shipping!:whip:
