Okay, I take this music & computers course at school. It's really ty because we using Cubasis without and VST instruments (just MIDI instruments *shudder*). Anyways, for this next solo project I am doing, I am going to rescore a scene from a movie (What Dreams May Come to be precise).
I have the DVD, and I want to nab the scene I need (about 2.5 mins) and make it a .mpg, so I can watch it on the school workstation (Which doesn't have a DVD-ROM) and not have to put up with all the DVD menu bull.
How do I do this? |

1.smartripper
rip the raw .vbo files onto your computer
2. dvd2avi
convert the raw .vbo files into avi, this step makes a raw .wav file for the sound for the final .mpg
3. tpmg
use this program to convert the avi u made earlier, to combine it with the .wav file created in step 2 to make the final .mpg file
good luck! |

| If he doesn this, wont he notice a severe drop in quality due to the different reencodings. |
