i started getting into breaks maybe a year ago, it just sort of caught my attention when i listened to some records at some random record shop. has a nice feel to it, i enjoy spinning downtempo and house breaks, its a nice break from 4/4.

Melbourne has an incredible scene (period). Breaks are definatly getting bigger, especialy prog breaks, cause for a long time progressive breaks (imo) were too mellow and lifeless, but now we see some prog breaks that make you move too. |

There's a lot of young producers out there who are creating great fusion of styles, leading to prog breaks with elements of trance which is exactly my type of music.

wouldnt really say that theyre the 'next big thing' cos that was about 2 years ago people were saying that. breaks are ok for a bit, but i doubt they will ever be the norm. most people still prefer a solid 4/4/ beat in a club, and youll never change this.
ps i hate the way its suddenly become cool to be into breaks.:haha: |
