| Stupid question but I am using Logic 6 Pro using ES1 and I was wondering what octave the bassline should be considering C as the note. Which octave should the low note and the high note be? |

This is the best thing to do becuase some basses sound much lower/higher at the same octave as others. |

Thats it ^ But generally the low notes of the bassline would be C1 and the higher C2, but sometimes that sounds to deep so you would need to transpose it up an octave. |

| on most synths you can select octave, so it will probably depend on the patch you are using. |

| This clearly depends on which bass you're talking about. If you're talking about the subbass, whip out PAZ or some other analyzer and see if 60 hz is the fundamental. If you're talking about low-midbass, 270 or so Hz should be the fundamental. |
