Well I've been going to "raves" for over 7 years now, so I know what the "scene" is like...
Majority of the Rave Scene: People sitting in the middle of the dancefloor rollin face, looking like there freezing to death. People colapsing from smoking too much juicccccccccccccce O_o
Majority of the Club Scene: Doods walking around all jacked bumping into people and are there just to pick up girls O_o
That's how it is now a day's IMO...and when you compare the 2 "scenes" the clubs bring in the big headlines - the raves bring in the same dj's i've seen over 20 times who still tend to play the same tracks here and there...going to a rave is like going back in a time warp...same , same dj's, and usually...the same place O_o Don't get me wrong I used to love them, just losing repect for them as every party seems to have the same friggin' lineup now a days.
I was actually looking foward to this lineup for One Nation...but to my disapointment its all the same dj's that have been booked 100s of times at raves i've been to...I'll go back someday, when something imo "good" is worth going to.
So that's why i don't think the rave scene is better then the club scene - why do you think the rave scene is better? i'm just curious... |

| personally I prefer raves because I like the atmosphere. But I'm not a pill-popper. In fact, I'm usually sober at every event, give or take a few. Yes, a lot of kids sit around rolling. Yes, it's the same DJ's. But you get the same DJ's in the clubs too. And the atmosphere isn't as friendly. People stand around and don't dance the way I dance. They're too budy checking each other out at clubs, and for someone like me who's not single, it's just annoying. I love both, but I don't last the whole night at a place like the Roxy, where there are SO many heads you can't move, SO many sweating bodies and screaming girls, that I feel like I'm gonna go insane. Maybe it's a phase for me, but I'm gravitating towards a more chill environment, which is perhaps one of the redundant features of a rave, but still reliable if it's what you're looking for. In the end they both have their place.:happy2: |

no. they are not in the middle of the dance floor; they're off to the sides not bothering anybody in their own little world; good for them... and you can't "stereotype" people like that... a guy who i was dancing all night with went and sat down with me and we were talking... that doesnt mean we were on pills cuz we're sitting down... but i see where you're headed with this.

|
yes... i'd say at least 55% of people at a club are trying to pick up girls. at raves its like more like 10%....

... and you wouldnt say clubs are only booking pvd, tiesto, armin, etc etc etc? and only at avalon, crobar?... same place same djs? |
