best time of my life dancing. Can't believe you guys would go to avalon over this. the venue was amazing! 3 stories! The trance was so much better than anything possible house; the other floor was a d'n'b' floor where i had the time of my life battling other ravers.... the people were the friendliest ever!!! Met a lot of people from the fortheravers.com message boards and a lot of people from the glowsticking.com message boards.... this definitely qualified as one of the best times of my life. CityKitty (Lauren) accompanied me to this.... dont think any other TAs showed up. Man I'm so glad i went to this and not to avalon.... avalon is the most boring place on earth you people.... i hear people bitching that there is no other place to go... but seriously.... open your minds for once and go to a rave.... the people are so nice (since most of them are intoxicated), the djs were REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY good... the d'n'b' djs BEAT MY ASS!.... i was totally owned... and listen to this.... the 3rd floor of the rave was ontop of a rooftop!!!! it was right near 34th street trainstation.... ontop of some rooftop.... blasting d'n'b' music with lights everywhere and happy ravers dancing their asses off.... benches all around and so much area for people to chyll.... DEFINITELY qualifies as one of my best rave experiences.... the most memorable aspects were doing some glowsticking with some guys from glowsticking.com.... they were really good with strings; i knew a lot of stuff they couldnt do... and they know a load i couldnt do; especially with the wraps and such... also battling a couple of ravers i met on line while waiting to get in... and battling "reptile"... from fortheravers.... coolest kids ever... he dressed up like a character from mortal kombat... it was insane!!! I'm telling you; best dancing you'll ever see... i also saw some frequent arc gowers there. I danced my heart out .... they had a projector with great lights and visuals! A stage to dance your heart out for anyone who pleased on one floor... the trance floor... i think 10 djs played over the course of the night on the trance floor.... AMAZING sound system... the floor was shaking... it tears the out of avalon's system; they people were the best of all though! I would just go up with Lauren to any random person we see and introduce ourselves and start talking and dancing, battling, laughing, smiling :) On top of the rave, on the rooftop... awas all drum and bass.... oh my god there was this one dj; she was a girl... and she totally owned my pants!!! She was really really really really really good; and so into the music... man i love AVB but you guys gotta get out more because if you think that only top named djs are into the music are good; you really need to check out these raves, because this girl was jumping up and down to her own stuff and so into it she had a hard time spinning because she was dancing so fast :wtf:

P.S. This is *Bimonthly*.... that means its happening again May 21st... i'll be there again; i urge all TAs to come to this one :) I'll be there! dont be shy... but the thing i really can't wait for is FAHRENHEIT :) .... that should be insane (50+ djs... hammerstein ballroom.... may 30th; i'll post up more info later) |

i remember when i was just as innocent to the rave scene =T
you party enough in it you'll soon learn how grimy some of them can be
with bts ruining the scene and the scent of dippies everywhere you begin to only think that its all about drugs and the "open your mind" experience is highlighted by the extra Es you've been taken. im not ting on the rave scene dude im just saying its a great experience if you dont get caught up in the drama. my word to you enjoy it but as for me been there done that left it enjoyed it. be safe man some people at raves can be super shady...not to mention grimy |

very true. thats why i endorse staying sober while going to raves. they have a lot to offer. but what you say is very right; getting caught up in the rave scene will lead you nowhere but downhill. you must find a balance :) too much of anything is bad. no innocent raver here ;) well said though; words of a wise man recognized.

dont wait till u turn 21 cuz we will be offering outdoor events to everyone...sun fun food alcohol and TRANCE! just stay tuned...especially for all you people who never look in the TFST threads you might be missing out... |

Well, my sweetie and I had a great time, as he stated. I totally agree with the fact that the rave scene does have a lot of grimyness, shadyness, and drugs. But I wasn't rolling, I'm not shady or grimy, and neither is my Serge. That's why we enjoy it. We meet a lot of interesting people from all walks of life, and it just broadens your horizons a bit. I think a lot of people hwo go to clubs and only clubs become closed-minded. And the fact is, you will find grimy, shady, pill-poppin' losers there too. Raves have a bad reputation because ravers have nothing to hide. But the club scene's bad too. (take soundfactory's bust for example)
For me, I love the scene. All the people I met were a lot of fun. Maybe it's the music, maybe it's the drugs. Either way, I came happy and left happy. I haven't had that happen in a long time.:happy2: :happy2: |

I didn't even know about this event maybe I will go on the 21st its this or Joof or Picotto on Saturday.
I have been to to many house events lately mostly unknowingly ack:whip: A rave sounds like a refreshing change of scene:toocool: I see if i can make it out to the next spongebob |

| deff i would go if im not doing anything that night, i havent been to a rave in so long... it is a lot of fun but i hate the shady people. I have heard of people getting robbed because of the BTS crew my friend used to be on the squad and thats why i bring him along with me. He doesnt do that anymore but he's a big dude. If anybody messes with us he'll just kick they're ass. I go, but i go with my friends not with just one person. |
