Great, WC is Africa. Are we nuts???
Not to be racist but what kind of stadiums does SA or Morocco have exactly... dust and metal link nets. COME ON!!!
Play it in a country that can actually provide good field conditions. Not to mention what will there be to do outside of the games. In Japan I had so much fun visiting the Monasteries and eating sushi. What can African countries offer??? See the natives in their mud huts.
Until someone gives me some examples of good entertainment, I am anti African WC. |

Congrats to S.A, I guess it's only fitting that they won since they felt robbed at the last vote.
NOW WHAT FOLLOWS......remember WC2002? The same or worse!! How do they expect people to get there? You know how far it is :eek:. My impression before Korea & Japan was that ok, you know what, people are so crazy about soccer that they would travel to the moon for their NT if they were there. It's too damn expensive! Last WC was probably the all time low in atmosphere, which is 90% of what makes the WC a spectacle for me. S.Africa will be the same. I have nothing against S.African people, nothing against Africa, but it's the fact that having to be prepared to see another Korea & Japan gets me even more pumped for Germany 2006.
Morocco would have been the ultimate. It's so close to Europe, there are already established stadiums that would need less repare than Portugal needed for Euro2004 (From an article I read that I will try and post of someone asks), and introduce a new culture to the soccer world that knowone has seen yet. |

WAHOO!! We got it!
Morocco put up a good fight, but after only just narrowly loosing out to Germany for 2006, I'm sure we were always in with a good shout. Once we played the Nelson Madela card and added a bit of Madiba magic it was all over. But trust an African country to bring hooters and whistles to a formal function.
Just to answer a few questions...
SA climate is pretty temperate, so its not to hot and not too cold. It rarely snows, so think our climate is perfect.
and for the nob that thinks we still live in huts and have no entertainment... waahaha. Get over it... as if Russia is such a en rad place to be. Vodka and snow and kuk weather... what else you got? |

you know what in' sucks more ?? all african countries voted MOROCCO ... it shows that everybody in AFRICA thinks south africa DOESN'T represent AFRICA ... the real AFRICA , not a country boosted by the whites ...
and for crying out loud , we were occupied too by the french and the spanish and had to fight for our freedom and independance , we too suffered from racism and , and we too have people who spent countless years in prisons getting things shoved up their arses , but no one talks about it ... we prefered looking into the future and what could the world cup bring , instead of crying in front of the whole world about our past situation :mad:

| woohooo. just sent off a mail to friends who own a guesthouse in capetown. I think this is the most advanced booking they've had, but no way i'm missing any of this month of football. Anyone who thinks there won't be atmosphere for this tournament should have been in SA when bafana was playing in the last cup. |
