Who hear uses FLAC? I just converted one of my mp3 tunes into FLAC. Its in Stereo 44.0 KHz @ 895 kbps. The sound is just :eyespop: I'm lisening to a sample of a tune I downloaded a while ago and its in Mono 22.0 KHz @ 64 kbps and it still sounds good, or is my hearing extremely horrible that I can not tell the difference, or is it my soundcard that makes everything sound the same.
Subsky - Daydream (Original Mix) :: 892 Kbps @ 44.0 kHz :: FLAC (Stereo)
Subsky - Daydream (Original Mix) :: 320 Kbps @ 48.0 kHz :: MP3 (Stereo)
Subsky - Daydream (Original Mix) :: 320 Kbps @ 48.0 kHz :: MP3 (Mono)
Subsky - Daydream (Original Mix) :: 192 Kbps @ 44.0 kHz :: MP3 (Stereo)
Subsky - Daydream (Original Mix) :: 128 Kbps @ 24.0 kHz :: MP3 (Mono)
They sort of all sound similar. |

no matter what you do, you can't have better quality if your source is for example 192kbps mp3. so re-encoding to 320kbps and such is pretty pointless.
don't be raversurge, please.

you should convert from flac to mp3 if anything, just not mp3 to flac unless the mp3 was 1411kbps which is what all my flac files turn into when i convert.
flac does sound good though. |
