Can you guys tell me some names of nice, vocalicious trance tunes that are definitely party songs, with a lively beat going (if you know what I mean). Of all the billions of relaxing, chilling, awesome trance out there, I'm talkin bout the ones with a good club beat, lot of potential for people to dance to at parties(but definitely not songs in the progressive, hard/house categories.) Thanks!

A few perfect examples of waht I mean include:

Lasgo - Pray (Driftwood Remix)
Perpetuous Dreamer - The Sound of Goodbye (Armin van Buuren Tribal Feel Remix)
Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes
Andain - Beautiful Things
Thanks again...

erm, ATRC is considered part of the "progressive" area. not to mention there is a LOT of house music that has a "party beat" bigger than trance.

house music was the first electronic dance music ever, remember that.

Yeah I agree! Nothing can pump up a crowd more than groovy party-house at ~133bpm. Ive seen the effects of Laurent Wolf - Calinda, Lee Cabarera - Shake It (Move a little Closer & Junior Jack - E-Samba on a club dancefloor. Bloody amazing energy!

I think its the groovy bassline that gets everybody going...

133? sure 133 is alright for a warm up.. but in most cases pumping crowds take a bit more than this.. around 140

groovy basslines almost always work. if you take all the treble out for and then flange or wahwah for 2or4 bars and then let a groovy hard bassline kick in, almost any crowd will go insane.

well I guess it depends on the crowd. Here in Estonia, I've seen club packed with some 1200 party people jumping upsidedown and insideout to 133bpm groove.´I was surprised too when I felt the energy in it.

vocalicious trance eh?

i'm sure there's heaps around in previous threads. do a lil search for "vocal trance"

i would tend to agree that house beats are more "party" like though.
Skaya
Labworks - Ibiza Sunrise (Shane 54 vs pink flood mix)

Galapidate
Check Paul van Dyk @ Rosenmontag's Rave 2002. It has a few vocal tunes in there that are good, such as Kosheen - Catch U.
subuddha
i find that Shapeshifters - Lola´s Theme gets me going every time!

it is "disco" house tune and it is getting "big" right now and is going to be played a lot this summer!

and speaking of disco i am sure that
LMC vs. U2 - Take Me To The Clouds Above
will work just fine. a sing-a-long song imo.:)

not vocals though but a classic is
Balearic Bill - Destination Sunshine (DJ Tiesto mix)

check Fatkid - Southern Sun
BT - Force Of Gravity (a few remixes out there)
