Even if there are programs which do this, you're better off getting a real life woman to sing for you. I read your post in the DJ Booth and realize you don't have any friends that have the talent, but someone made a great suggestion that you should try asking around or posting a sign in the music department of your school or a university. As far as the equipment to record, you can do the same: ask around your school or university and see if they have any equipment you can use or rent time on.

Vocaloid from Zero-G ;)

Well, Vocaloid is not going to compete with reallife female vocals. So I suggest you take a mic, sing it in you're self and throw it into the vocoder...
I do that sometimes and after a little tweaking and some fx it sounds pretty cool. With some compression it can sounds really heavy, although I'm the worst vocalist in the world.

thanks for the help. that program vocaloid looks really good. i visited their homepage and the sample sound really natural and its also possible to add rythem to the vocal.

But I really must to say it: TRY IT BEFORE BUY!
Because Vocaloid is expensive and no program cant beat the human voice. It's cheaper to ask if somebody (your friends friend) could sing it.

Sorry if I'm too pessimistic but that's my opinion.

If you need robotic voices then use your own voice with vocoder. Dont know is there any free vocoder out there , anyway you can always buy the plugin too :)

if money isnt an issue i suggest you go to "jungle studio's" in the check post (near haifa), cause for around 750 nis u can get both the studio & an experienced vocalist for 2 hours or so

The Vocaloid got an 5/10 reward in Computer Music, I do think that program is very hard to use..

Like I understood the demo samples in Vocaloid homepage are ->
VOCALOID plugin used only as background voices ... not lead

If money isn't problem then just shoot!
