Hi there,
I'm also a user of Yamaha CS1x since many years, but it was long ago I imported and exported custom soundbanks to the synth. I have a faint memory that I used a small and simple freeware program called SYSEX something, where you could keep different sets of soundbanks, and then you could import and export them to the synth. Is this what you are talking about? If so, I do not think you will need to import it another time in Logic, once you have the new bank in your CS1x-memory, it will stay there until you overwrite it with another bank.
Sorry for not remembering much about this, but back in the days there was a quite good site on the CS1x on the internet, I wonder if it still exists. And you've guessed right, I don't remember its name either. :(
EDIT: Seems like most of the CS1x-sites have closed since last time I checked, which was ages ago. The program I mentioned was CS1xEdit, and it is actually SHAREWARE, 20$, but with a 30 day long trial period.
Somehow it feels like I misunderstood your question...;) |
