now that sir josh wink has showed the way,
i think we shouldnt just let it go off as a onetime obscurity,
breathe some life into the genre,
im not sure how can we make this 'revolution' work,
but thats not whats important,,
whats important, is that everyone who loves hearing acid house gonna start to do something about it!! (i.e = make more of it)
who else would like to see a new section in the vinyl shops - ACID HOUSE???
i know i do,, and i dont really care who fills it up and makes it happen as long as it will happen,
so this thread is basically a call to arms and minds
whos behind me?
whos got some ideas?
WHOS GOT SOME ACID HOUSE? |

| Jon Carter has been doing the acid thing for years, so have the chemical brothers (ok they arent exactly thumping acid, but then original acid wasnt ever like 150+bpm). Chems did Electronic Battleweapon #6, Futureshock have done a lot of acid originals and remixes, theres also FC Kahuna doing acid. A lot of techno tracks contain 'acid' style synths, its all there, just not heavily featured in trance simply cus it doesnt cross over that easily. You hardly likely to come up to a filthy acid track over say, As The Rush Comes. |

hey mossy, i was talking strictly about acid house, i know acid can be found on techno from time to time, and i hardly expect it over trance :)
i heard over 4 rls's by jon carter and none of them had anything reminiscent of acid, same for futureshock.
plz be more specific :conf: |

If you look at the origins of trance around 1992-1995, the acid sounds of the TB-303 were the driving force behind the music. It wasn't until about 1997-1999 that the JP-8000 became the synth of choice for trance, and with it came the big lead style that's been beaten to death over the past 7-8 years. |

| Nice idea but probably wouldn't happen. But there are still acid house and detroit techno nights still happening if you can find them. |

Hey if you really love your acid that much then re invent the ...you know house is basically toasted..well acid house and hard house that is. Porgressive trance and progressive house have a conflicting cross over, so hey man here's an idea!
ah=acid house t=Trance ph=Progressive House X = Unknown
ah(t + ph) = X
aht + aph2 = X
lets just factor out the h's for the hell of it!!
at + ap = X
so now you have two possible outcomes
at=Acid Trance
ap=Acid Progressive
or
pat=Progessive Acid Trance
And yes I'm ed ok! :) |
