does anyone have any good articles about women discrimination at work or some articles that outline why on average the female income is lower than the males?

I hope it's not one of those feminist courses...I had one of those unfortunately and I feel sorry for you if it is :(.
No articles here though good luck...you might want to look into Walmart...they are known for that kind of stuff....they are the ones that pioneered hiring single mothers as cashiers cause they knew they will stick around for a long time (they can be paid less cause they need the job, and they will be loyal for the same reason - security). |

Most 'female' work is undervalued. Even more so if you consider all of the unpaid housework that inevitably falls to women.
Check out the career choices of women in the past, or what was traditionally thought of as 'women's' work. You'll find that they traditionally lower-paying jobs.
(Nursing, teaching, waitressing, secretarial, etc.)
I'd keep on typing, doing a Tolstoy impression, but I'm spent from the day. |
