i saw this post on groove tickets

Ok! Listen Up. This is what’s going on. Mr. Dean (money hungry) put a stop on selling tickets online and is selling the tickets on the side. He knows that we’ll pay up to $ 100/ticket and he’ll be going to the bank w/ a happy face. There’s no way that 1500 tickets sold out that quick. When Tiesto spinned at The Mayan tickets were available for over a week and the Mayan is bigger than Avalon. Makes you think ha. We’ll I hope I find tickets because I know I’ll pay anything to see Tiesto. Good Luck everyone.

I personally have had good experiences overall at Avalon. They bring the talent, so I am not going to go to SD or elsewhere if they bring who I want to see.

If it is a choice of Spundae or Avalon, though, you know where I will be!

The things I dont like about Avalon are as follows:
-no metal detectors
-low security
-letting too many people in, and therefore when you need to piss, you cant go back out on the freaking dance floor for 20 minutes
-ticket prices (though I make enough now that it doesn't bother me tooooo much, and it is nice when some events arent too expensive)
-pricey watered down drinks (in general, I know that some of the bartenders arent bad)

What are all your feelings on Avalon?

Here are my gripes on Spundae:
-Too many e-tards
-Crappy location
-The bathrooms (I love the bathrooms at Arena)
-Parking (on busy nights)

PS - I did a search on google and came up with some interesting (long) history on Spundae and Avalon:
