| I agree there. I have one and I swear it probably weighs as much as I do when it's fully loaded. I would rather not have it, but my living situation makes it so I have to be able to store my mixer and tables when I'm not using them. As far as cases go I got mine off of pssl.com. It fits (with some padding removal) my TTX-1's perfectly and if you're interested it's the odyssey case with wheels and space for a 12" mixer. I'd post a link but I can't be arsed to look for it right at the moment. However, I don't know how good it would be for someone who is going to be lugging it all over kingdom come and knocking the bejesus out of it. It seems a bit on the skimpy side as far as heavy padding goes but it does work well for a storage solution. |

the ones i've encountered are not really that heavy. put a turntable in it, and there's where we have the weight. go googling, or search most online dj stores (djmart.com, sixstardj.com, pssl.com, etc) and you can prolly locate a case for yer TT's.
happy hunting. |

| i was thinkin about pocketing the tt-500s or tt-x, but was wondering about them cuz they arenent flush and flat would thye still be ok and usable in a flight case or custom made dj table? or would they be liiting and look horrrible? |

I think they're still the same basic height, which is really what matters in that case . . . I would contact the manufacturer if you really want to make sure.

LOL, I've had my TTX-1's for a month and I only noticed the slant after you mentioned it and I took one out of the coffin to look at the base. When they sit in the coffin the look about as flat as anything. You might be able to see a bit of a diff from front to back, but you'd have to be looking for it pretty hard. So to answer your question it doesn't look any more messed up than any other TT sitting in the case. |

| wow that doesnt actually seem so cheap to me. even from htfr they do a coffin for 150pounds which is about the same. or am i missing the point here that that one's excellent quality? sadly it seems we could all do with a coffin but that theres other more imp expeditures we'd rather pay out for. but im fed up of lugging the decks round and theyre gonna get damaged if not |

| As far as coffins go you not going to be able to get anything much below the $200 mark and we all know how much vinyl $200 can buy you. I guess you need to weigh how much you move your equipment around with how much you need other things for your setup. $200 can get you a few vinyls, but if your tables or you mixer are broken from being lugged around unprotected then your new vinyls are pretty much worthless. |
