| Heard that Rikjaard from Barca is going to be replaced by Scolari. Couldnt figure why since he turned Barca around a bit. Trezeguet to Barca is practically a done deal. Wouldnt be suprised to see Real go for Cordoba from Inter. |

By the way, I'm a huge barca fan:) and Ronaldinho is the best player since Pelè!
I think it's sad that Kluivert is leaving though... he's a world class striker |

| Real will not part with Beckham why....Because he is one of the worlds best marketable athletes, bringing a load of money/more popularity to Real, look at japan last summer, everyone suddenly became a Real fan. ManU won't sell Rude for atleast another season,they need to see what Alan Smith can do. |

I think that's a bit of a myth.
Think of Beckham's wages (let alone the £25M they paid for him), it'll be something ridiculous like £100,000 a week. Imagine how many shirts you'd have to sell in Asia just to pay his wages?! £25M plus several million a year is a lot of money.
They bought him because he is one of the best, if not the best crosser of the ball in the world, his delivery is immense and unlike a lot of wingers/attacking midfielders he tracks back to help with defensive duties too. Some people say he's had a disappointing season, but they did not buy him just so they could sell shirts in Japan. |

| Newcastle United's chairman, Kluivert's agent, and Kluivert himself have all claimed Newcastle are in talks about signing him on a free transfer, but it's at an early stage. |

I belive it is because Laporta wanted the club to become younger. Reizeger I belive signed for Boro to team up with new signing Viduka. Davids was on loan. Cocu & I think Kluivert contracts were up. Cocu might go to PSV?
Deco, & Larrson signed for Barca. Quaresma left Barca for Porto. Espanyol signed Dani from Barca.
One of the presidential canidates for the Real Madrid election has said he has verbal agreements with Baros(liverpool), Rosicky and Maniche. I belive this is the same canidate that said if elected he would sell Becks & Ronaldo. |
