I wasn't surprised at the beheading. People are angry with the Americans. The goal is to inflict pain upon the enemy, emotional, psychological and physical pain. That is the goal. The occupier must suffer.
I'm not surprised at the prison abuses either. Iraq is under occupation and no occupation is free of humiliation. This is what occupation is. A good occupation is an oxymoron. |

| btw the Quran doesnt say anything about Beheading. It is just some sick peoples way of getting attention for what they are doing. Trust me Religion has nothing to do with it... thus Islam and Muslims should not be blamed... I dont know what to say really. I guess i would put myself in their shoes. Extreamists usually come from people whose families have been directly affected by war. Such as ... umm maybe bombs flying into their homes and places of worship. I think its reason enuff for someone to go insane... i didnt say its right... just reason enuff. But for what some Americans have done in prisons. There can be no escuses. |

You're forgetting a key component: so long as there are westernized, non-fundamentalist states in the middle east there will always be Al-Qaeda.
