Best Beaches in NY ? (pg. 2)

Long Beach is great - especially for us city folk that don't have cars. Killer waves at the right time, soft sand and a nice boardwalk.
You can take the LIRR and buy a beach pass inlcusive in your roundtrip ticket - only about 50 minutes from Penn station (try and take the express).

That's from my own experience-maybe it would make a good date! Take a girl out for dinner on the boardwalk and then lie near the water. It's not what the beach can necessarily bring you, it's what (or who) u can bring to the beach. |
