Going to Germany in December this year. So far the following places are quite definate:
Munich
Heidelberg
Frankfurt
Fussen
Rothenberg
Where are some other places to go that are really nice but aren't often talked about? We probably won't be going to Berlin, but what other places are nice. I'd rather see historical sites / places or nice scenery than go somewhere to party. Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions. :) Thanks. :) |

For Munich you should ask DJ NGE here from the GTA forum. He comes fromes there and makes there some really good trance parties. |

Well, if you are in Munich it is nearly mandatory to visit "Deutsches Museum". Furthermore there is the Olympiapark and the whole inner city of Munich... sorry, I can't tell you any more interesting sites right now - I'm not interested in them so much since I live here, but if I can think of any other I'll tell. |

OK thanks you very much for your help! It looks like i will be spending 4 days and nights in Munich, more than any other city on my holiday. So far we have a day trip to that castle near Fussen (cant remember the name) and also a day trip to Dachau (the concentration camp). I'll have to check back here closer to the date. Thanks for your help. :)
What i really want to know is:
If you could go anywhere on holiday in your own country (germany), where would you go? |

What's also worth seeing is the Schloß Neuschwanstein (if you've got the time - it's a little bit outside of Munich), Kloster Andechts (also outside) and Schloß Nymphenburg (in Munich) |

yeah, schloß neuschwanstein you definatly have to see that. And the Frauenkirche and the square by the rathaus (city-hall) i believe it is.
Rügen is really nice to visit. That is way on the other side of Germany though lol.
