He's got killer skills on the decks, he was the first person to use 3 decks at once. He plays funky techno, so if you're not into that, then I wouldn't go.

He's definently worth it, even if techno isn't your style, he puts on a killer show, but no one in books him where I live:whip: God damn seattle

Carl Cox is a legend/god, seeing him going wild on three decks and two cd-player is one of the reasons to go and see him. His style is funky-techno with a bit of latin in it.

I think his best years are the history now, but a legend is worth seeing :)

I would pay for see him, he plays tech-house. You'll have a great night, sure!
Smekbar
he's well worth it :) he's got mad skillz ;)
but he does definitely not play tech-house, unless he's changed style radicaly since I saw him.. :)
Radagast
Quite big in the UK? Well, "#1 DJ in the world" is pretty big. Of course it was back in 1996 or so. But he has a lot more skill than some of the more recent "#1 DJ's in the world". I wouldn't have had to think.
svens_bath
hes hit and miss i think. sometimes he plays god-awefull latin-salsa techno, or housey stuff which is just so bland, and un-groovy. on the other hand, some of the techno he plays is ing rocking

Well check out his EM of last year or the Homelands 2003 set... I would say is tech-house!
He used to play straight techno in the past years (...1998,1999, 2000...) just listen Crobar 1999
Also I've heard he had played hard-house in some sets, dunno multi-purpose Dj I suppose hehe

carl cox is my favorite dj. If youre the type that goes up to the front of the booth with pen and paper, criticizing every beat not exactly beat matched, hes not for you.

I like carl cuz he rocks the club nonstop and he will do the guttsiest mixes with 3 tables and 95% of the time hes on point anyway. If you can keep up with techno, you will have a good time. Also, if youve never seen a big black man dance behind the decks, carl cox is top notch.
