I figured I would do a review of this because it definitely deserves it. Last August we did a reunion party. It was at the same club, but the vibe was nothing compared to the energy in the club last night. I almost forgot how unbelievable a Marz light and sound show is. Sunday was no exception. For people that rant on and on about lasers at clubs. You haven't seen anything until you have seen a Marz laser show. Multi colored lasers are used and do a variation of things...including pictures and words. Add in all the variations of any type of light that you can imagine and you have a spectacular light show. The best is when all three colors of lasers are used and the lines spread to cover the entire room...swirling around. It's mind blowing. Props to Marz (Dave) for putting together another awesome reunion party.
Out of our crew Paul, Alison, Jon, Dustin, Sarah, John, Angel, Billy, Mike, Megan, Jason, Tiffany, Colleen, Blake, etc were there. My friend Jaime Z showed up with Heather. Old school friends...Morris, Andy, Regis, Spike, Jason, Suzi, Leeron, Tommy, Mike, Rich, Dave, Lindsey, Jason, Jeff, JP, etc. Other friends...Cedric, Jeremy, Joe, Gina, etc.
DJ's (artists) that either spun or made an appearance...Santana, Gemini, Tony Faline, Rose, Malicious Mike, Jason Perez, Tommy Who, Daveaux, King JB, DJ 303, etc.
Highlight of my night...when my best friend, Santana, threw down Kay Cee - Escape (club mix). That club exploded with that song. My group was right behind the DJ booth upstairs so the lights are in your face. With the lasers and lights hitting right at us the energy in my group was unreal. The intent was to do an old school set with maybe a little bit of new stuff. Two songs later he spun For An Angel. Once again the club went off. Everyone was loving it.
I love that every year we have reunion parties to bring together all of the people that used to make Tampa the crazy scene that it once was. Bring back the light shows that we took for granted...listen to music that you forgot about. The days of Ozone, The Fantasy Ranch, and Cosmos. People don't come out all year until that night. In fact I saw two people that I hadn't seen in four years or longer. One was a sight for sore eyes...Morris. The other one...completely ruined the end of my night. I still had an amazing time. The parties continued at two different late night events.
We continued our party through today with a pool party at my best friends house...three DJ's in attendance (Gemini, Chris Craze, and of course Santana)....as well as Alison, Dustin, Tiffany, Sarah, Kim, Brandon, and me. We blasted trance through the house for hours. Then we ended the day by watching the Lightning kick ass. :D Good...GOOD...times this weekend. I haven't laughed so much in so long. Today was nothing short of classic...everything was funny...stories that we'll end up telling years from now. Three days of good music and good people. I went from being with new friends on Saturday (except for Suzy & Brian) to a mixture of old and new friends on Sunday to old school friends tonight. Awesome weekend. May was a good month in regards to parties and trance.
I know this was long, but I had such a good time and I wanted to share it with someone! :D |

Being a dj... I don't get to go out and just relax as often as i'd like. But this weekend rocked. Friday at Storman's was off the wall for me. Saturday the Rock and Rave, Sunday MARZ reunion, Monday at the house. I miss those long weekends of being with friends, listening to good music and relaxing.
Don't forget MARZ is throwing a free party at SKYE this Sunday. No cover.

I'm really pissed off because somehow the idiot that developed my film scratched the negatives. You can see it on a couple of them. No need to say get a digital...it was a disposable camera and I was fine with using it.
I wish I would have taken more pics though. :(

Damn,.. im kicking myself over this one,... I was home in Tampa last Sunday with nothing to do and had originally planned on seeing Icey in Orlando but was kinda pooped to go back to Orlando,... i sat at home wanting to do something and I totally forgot about this.... and thats just what the docotor ordered, an old school trance set,... oh well no use crying over spilled milk... maybe next time....
