Just to let you all know I have conclusive proof that this track is in fact:
Nu-NRG - Dreamland (Vandit012)
The reason I know this is that Paul played this track at Club-Together in London when I saw him there last weekend. At the end of his set he gave me this record. I have a one sided 12" with (presumably) Pauls handwritting on it with all this information. I am very proud!
So lets put the discussion to bed!!
My life is now complete!
Starfox, you seem to know your stuff about PvD - it's almost like you are part of the Vandit team..... reply!

Yep,
There's certainly a certain something about that PvD vibe, the man is special and there is no other DJ out there that can touch him - PvD plays from the heart, that's what is so great about it all. Markus is cool too, always willing to help out (many greetings from Berlin!!!).
I have to say that I feel so lucky to be able to see Paul play so often, next weekend I have tickets to Gatecrasher to see him perform a six hour set. It is amazing to see Paul play Crasher. Over the last year I've seen him play 20 - 30 times, he always smiles and gives me a wave, but deep down I think he probably gets sick of seeing me EVRERYWHERE he goes - but it's simple, no one but him plays the music I love.
Anyway Starfox, I have a question to ask you - I am assuming that you have plenty of sets by PvD and was wondering wether you would consider burning a bunch onto CD (I'll pay a fee of course).
Anyway - good to know that there is someone out there as NUTS about PvD as me.

This message is for all dedicated Van Dyk fans:
(especially Jarvmeister and StarFox)
While we are sharing stories of Paul, i figured i'd tell everyone about mine: I was always interested in his productions ever since listening to 45 Rpm..i thought that the sounds radiated fro the his tracks were filled with emotion and intensity..in the fall of '99 i finally got a chance to see Paul at work at Twilo..a fond memory of that night was when he came out of the "old" dj booth and danced for a few seconds (with heneiken bottle in hand) along with the twiloites...ever since, i didnt miss any of his magical appearances at Twilo (R.I.P.).travelling to Boston and even Amsterdam, i realized that this man realizes something in people and somehow is able to bring out the emotions within us...More and more people are starting to realize that PVD is indeed the biggest ambassador of electronic music and continues to "rip it up" across the globe...
Starfox: Where did you get The Cirillo Vinyl..!!!! Jealousy runs through me everytime i see the picture..haha. |
