I want an Euro 2004 subforum to prevent massive posting in the sports discussion. So do you want to discuss games like Portugal - Spain and The Netherlands - Germany, go to the thread that I mentioned below

Click here and reply if you want to have a Euro 2004 subforum

(for the ignorant, we are talking about the European Football Championship)

why bother discussing it? Italy will win, end of discussion.

England are not going to win it anyway, You should see the squad we've picked, we may as well just take our bucket & spades to portugal and win a sandcastle contest instead
ShadoWolf
you're right it won't be England 0-3 Italy

England won't get out of group B...

France
Croatia
England
Switzerland

Italy should make it out, then lose in the semis

Well, Germany are 20-1 to win it, As much as I dislike the german football team, those odds are pretty tempting to put a tenner on, much longer than the other teams, spain france england italy etc

great idea.... I cant wait for Euro 2004, I am a right football addict :D I reckon the Dutch will do very well this time....! I can see them going very far.

Btw Ian, whats your avatar all about, where abouts r u now? I kinda guessed Australia but :) why? meeting some Aussie TA's or just on hols?

btw, when did Per Frandsen leave Bolton? you guys had a really good season, a season without Jay Jay Okocha scoring in the league (!) - Newcastle had a pretty dismal one to be honest, considering the potential we do have, oh well, here's to next season.

:-)

Nah, not in aus (would like to be tho to see family & friends) just being a bit silly with the av & custom status.

As for Frandsen, Big Sam decided as he was 34 (and losing the pace he used to have) that it wasn't fair to keep him on as a bit player, and that after 8 years service he deserved the chance to play 1 or 2 more full seasons at a lower level, but he will go down as one of our most popular foreign players, with Bergsson, probably above Jay Jay, Campo & Youri now cos of the 8 years service... as for JJ not scoring... i don't know how that happened, he was so unlucky, must've hit the woodwork 30 odd times this year, plus those special goals in the cup anyway, tho all 3 were freekicks

Ah, thats cool, I've never been to Australia, would love to go there one day, seems like a lovely country tbh, only question is, Sydney or Melbourne?

Btw, Per Frandsen sure was a good servant for your club, I was pleasantly suprised about your season this year.... did you watch any of the Div 1 Play Off last night? Sunderland vs Crystal Palace, great game, HIGH drama :D

and LOL to Orbax :D
