Hey TAs.
This year Pride Ball Toronto, the large Saturday night party that will take place during Pride Week, is looking to branch out and offer something very different thatn the previous events organized by Unity.
We've started by booking Mark Oliver and Barry Harris as our deadliners, and have added a number of live acts such as: 8 time Grammy Award Winner Chaka Khan, Amber, and Marlon Wurmitzer. Amd we are creating an environment that should be like nothing you've ever seen before (the gays are good at decor!)
We are also planning a second room of DJ talent that will offer alternatives to the harder, more tribal/circuit music in the main room and we are really looking to mix things up a bit.
So far we have Shane Percy (electro-clash), DJ BlackCat (hip hop/house), Sum Asian (retro) and DJ TK (who plays a bit of everything from hip hop to rock).
We are looking for a couple more diverse DJs who may be able to widen our audience while offering a cool alternative to the usual gay party scene. If anyone knows of any accomplished gay/lesbian/bi/curious/trans DJs who would be interested in a slot, please let us know.
For everyone else. We hope to see you at the biggest party of the year. Everyone is invited as long as you are into music, accepting of people's differences, and are looking to have an awesome time in a very cool, immersive environment.
