you all wanted the Tories gone last year....well, you got it....the Tories campaigned and ran their government for nearly a decade under the banner of always keeping their promises, which they did....the Liberals haven't even been in office a year and they've already broken two of their biggest campaign promises (no tax hikes and no deficits)....personally, I hope the backlash is huge

i saw it coming and never voted for this guy

Funny thing is that the nurses are bitching, the teachers are bitching and the unions are bitching... just like the old PC days except NOW WE GET HIGHER TAXES AS WELL!

i knew this guy was a shady piece of work and i warned everyone i knew.

PS hes broken more than just 2 promises. Try 25 promises and breaking the law which is what this budget does since it doesnt call for a referendum on raising taxes which is actually THE LAW.

I like compulsory voting.

higher voter turnout would be nice...but what would be even better would be if those who did vote were educated.

Nevermind compulsory voting...I'm in favour of compulsory courses in Economics and Law, for starters. The vast majority of people probably have no conception of how so much is intertwined. They see taxes going up and think "that raised taxes" and that's it. Guess what...we can't keep inflation down, unemployment down, taxes down, while increasing spending...it's a balance, to some extent.

I'm curious...for all the McGuinty haters (I'm not thrilled with him either, btw, although I saw him as the lesser of the evils during the election)...what is your take on the Liberal claims of how badly the outgoing Conservatives fudged the books? To play devil's advocate, if they did inherit a mess, is it fair to put ALL of the blame on McGuinty's gov't?
