"Q: You are a unique brand of DJ, spinning completely off CD. Where do you stand on the vinyl vs. CD issue? Do you envisage vinyl ever disappearing?
A: When I started DJing about five years ago, my first set was 50% mp3s, which I downloaded off the net and my first Euphoria album was entirely from CD. I do think everyone else is moving towards CD now, but it's a matter of taste. It is what you're used to. I believe playing from CD is better sound quality, more spontaneous. You can finish a tune and play it the same night without having to wait 6 weeks for the record to be pressed... and oh and it means you don't have to lug that record bag around anymore. As soon as it's reliable, I'll be DJing off my laptop. "
hmm, not sure what to say on that one, is he trying to legitimize file sharing? |

| I think he was also saying that was how he did it when he started (and was a relatively unknown DJ). Things have changed now. |
