| What is going to happen to the middle east when their major buyers are not longer dependant on oil? I read an article not too long ago that GM is supposed to be releasing hydrogen fuel cells sometime around 2008-2010, assuming that things are on schedual. So, what will they do when no one needs oil for fuel? |

| Developing countries will always have a demand for oil. |

The five main middle east oil countries are probably more worried about their own declines in volume 20 to 30 years from now (during our lifetime) and how it will effect their own economies.
That could mean major problems for them if they are not prepared. War, internal struggle, isolationism, will all need to be addressed when they are on the backside of their oil decline.
look at Mexico. |

| I cant wait for countries like Saudi to run out of oil (25 years), and for other countries to run out of demands for oil in the middle east. Hopefully they will be democratized by then, i predict a civil war in atleast one ME country, hardcore religious leaders will rule, a caliphate will be re-established as well, i yearn for the day. |

Blech, we'd still be dependent on the middle east for sand! We need an energy source that can be siphoned off of fat, overweight Americans--no shortage of supply there!:D |

I heard, and mind you this is only word of mouth, that a man had invented an engine that ran on french-fry grease. Anything that would give McDonalds a tighter stranglehold on American culture is fine by me! |

HHHAAAHAAA! Yes, we still have to fill the sandboxes at school! Seriously though, the folks raking in the money can give a damn because they can't even spend it all in their lifetimes.
