Wicked review, almost felt like i was there. So what happened? Who did you see? How was 50% of Son Kite? Was the dust as bad as last year when Inf Mushroom had the entire bush jumping? Was ice the most valuable commodity once again? |

Would have to say Son Kite would have been one of the highlights of the event. They played an early morning set, which was beautiful, considering the weather at that time of the day was fantastic... blue skies and not too hot.
Could not trainspot many of their tunes, but they played a driving and relentless psy trance set, which really got me dancing at 8am in the morning. By that time, only the dedicated earthcorians were left, which is where you got to see the real hippies do their thing on the dancefloor aka dirt (like in the Flintstones)
Other highlight would have to be 1200 mics, watching 2 old codgers (who you'd think are still trapped in the 60's), really work the crowd. Tune of the night would have been when they played Acid for nothing... a takeoff of Money for Nothing by Dire Straits.
Another live set that I really enjoyed was Siaqua at the Hydra stage, before I got lost in my own world for 3 to 4 hours.
Other than the fact that I had probably railed a gram of dirt by the end of the carnival, and lost a few braincells, it was a ripper of an Earthcore. |
