| I think any drug is bad when you abuse it. But alcohol is moderation has been shown to improve life expentancy. I personally have a beer or two, every so often, never been drunk and . I have seen people have their lives ruined by alcohol. So i personally think it depends on the person cause each individual reacts differently to each situation in a unique way. THis is what makes life so unique cause everyone acts differently cause each life has a different set of circumstances and problems. |

| getting faced every weekend gets boring after a while. plus you figure 5$ a drink at least at a club, and maybe 8 drinks later your wasted. thats 40$. what a ripoff. go buy some e or acid or shrooms and go for the ride of your life for 8 hours. |

alcohol indeed is a hard drug.....its funny how it is legal and drugs like weed that will do far less damage to a person are illegal!!!....anyways, i became an alcoholic this summer, it was no responsibilities, cheap booze easily obtained, and lots of girls to drink it with...hehe...
i must say that although i did drink a lot, not at once did i do an extremely stupid thing...and i dont regret doing anything while on "alcohol"....
just made me not give a s*it, and party easier.....

Well, I have to agree only with Toronto Trance Addict. There are a lot of stupid comments in this thread...ie: it's okay to drive when high...etc.
Dude, the 1st post...was weird..
Don't talk crap about drugs, alcohol....weed, if you, AS A PERSON, can't handle yourself, or control your own actions. Personally, I've been hammered, drunk, smashed many times. I still don't do stupid things like that, I always control my self. Even when really drunk, I don't go starting fights with people, or harassin girls etc..
It's all in the person, not the drug...don't blame the drugs

| i am a happy drunk, but i always embarrass myself like the time i tried to jump the wall 3 times and kept failing and knocked myself out. everyone took pictures of me. lucky they didnt pull down my pants and take pictures of my tiny penis and stained panties. |

alcohol is a downer in terms of drug effect and it is a well known depressant.. that is y, there are many occasions when one has an emotional outburst due to alcohol.. technically alcohol is a drug b/c its psycho-active meaning that it alters brain activities... and also it has the addictive components just like cigs and drugs...esp when alcoholism runs in the blood..scary .:eek: alcohol is baaaaad! :p
as for me, i like weed much better.. many reasons already explained earlier in the discussion. the only reason that the US gov't wont legalize weed is b/c theres so much money pumped into the 'war against drugs' and they cant just legalize weed out of the blue. personally i think that weed would have much more positive effect on society than alcohol and also would lower the crime rate.. esp among youngsters b/c many of them would do anything just b/c its illegal. drugs in certain society only get judged unfairly only when foreigners abuse it.. sorry if that sounds really unjust and all buti think many of u understand wut im trying to say. :p ;)

I'd have to agree with u, i dont like drinking much, I actually havent had a drink for about 5 months now....
there is always good old weed however....i seriously cannot predict what will happen if it gets legalized here, could become like Holland (that would be amazing).....but also it could go a different way....I personally think most people here just dont have the right mentality towards it, could be because of the brainwash of the government...and about driving while high, unless ur so ing high that smoke is coming out of ur brain, u wouldnt have a problem driving, its all in ur head really
so yeah, i dont really like drinking that much, i think it is bad, i would drink a bit every now and then, but its not my cup of tea really :D |

TSI_AWD: Yeah and thats the main problem. I cant understand why I made such bull. Believe I've been drunken many times before, but I was never aggressive, just really happy. And I've never been so agressive when I was sober, so this way really my bad day.
And I prefer alcohol over weed, because weed does not influence me, I get barely high, so its useless, i rather fall asleep than get high and happy. And I hate smoke!!

i did say that alcohol is bad but that doesnt mean that i dont drink at all. lol :o to tell u the truth, i drink hella more often than i toke hehehehe.
for me weed and alcohol are two different stuff. i drink so savor the flavor and smoke for the expierence ;) i say it myself and know that my friends will back me up on this one but, im a very responsible drinker if not a moderate drinker :p. but prolly one reson that i drink way more than smoke is b/c its alot more accessible here than weed.. hell, they sell beer in vending machines here!! :rolleyes:
i agree that most ppl in society dont have the right mentality for smokin weed in society.. and they prolly will never have the right mentality for it.. like it was said, the gov't brainwashes ppl. i myself cant imagine wut it will it be like if it ever got legalized but i think that if would def have positive effect on me personally.
call me bizarre but, i think that i would be able to gradually quit smoking if i could smoke weed legally.. basically b/c i dont like the cottonmouth affect of weed and smoking cigs dont help it at all! ;)
maaan.. i cant belive that im actually going in depth w/ this issue lol.i guess it is alot more important subject to me than i ever imagined hehehe :p
cweb- bud, get hooked up w/ real weed not schwagg and i think maybe ull start feeling the same way as some of us does about weed ;) lol
