Sympatico High Speed

So, I've heard from 2 different people that apperently Bell has upped their $44.95 High Speed service to 3Mbps.
Can anyone tell me when this happend? And did everyone get this upgrade too?
Because for some reason I'm still paying 40-somethin a month, but my download speeds are the same as the always have been (100k's downstream, 12k's upstream). And according to an online speed test, my download can't even get over 1Mbps. |

| I just got upped to the 4Mbps service from Bell. Really fast!!! |

AFAIK both Rogers and Bell did this sometime ago

rogers has .. just did a ~300KB/sec download on my linux box. something i havent seen for a while .... |

Yea, i got the upgrade.. went from a max dld speed of ~225kbps --> ~340kbps. I don't know the exact speed of the upgrade tho, i don't think it's quite a 3mbps line.. ?? Upload speed was bumped up by a bigger factor than the download speed, and i'm loving that since I use Bit Torrent a lot.
Infinity high: do you have High speed, or just regular DSL (there are 3 types with Sympatico, i have high speed). I don't think regular DSL got its speed upped.

I think it was March for me. I saw my max d/l speeds go from 180KB/s to around 320KB/s. I too have the $40 something plan with Sympatico. It depends on where you live Peter. They didn't do system-wide upgrade only by area. You should call and ask when they'll start in your area. |

Down here in the boonies they upped my speed from 1.5 MEG DSL to 2 just because they set up my small town of 4200 people kinda late...only this spring actually.
Ive been 56kin' it here for over 4 years...:eyespop:
